PUBLIC NOTICE - Information is being provided as a courtesy from The City of Bayou Vista. Waste management is handled by MUD 12.

Note: These rules have not changed. Waste Connection is enforcing their employees to comply with the rules. They do have cameras on their trucks.

Please be advised of the following waste disposal requirements:

1. Large Item Pickup – Mondays
All large items (anything not placed in a garbage can or garbage bag) must be set at the curb for Monday pickup only. This is the day to put out bags of yard clippings or large boxes.

Lumber, tree branches, and similar materials must be bundled and may not exceed 4 feet in length.

2. Thursday Pickup – Household Trash Only
Thursday collection is designated for household trash only. Trash must be bagged and/or placed in a garbage can.

3. Items Not Collected by Waste Connection
Waste Connection does not pick up the following large items:
Construction Waste, such as drywall or ANY concrete.
Appliances
Furniture
Mattresses
Other oversized or special-handling items

4. Limited Amount per Trash Day
Waste Connection will only take 3 cubic yards of trash per trash day. They define a yard as one cycle of the back hydraulics of the truck. If they cycle it 3 times at one location, they will move on to the next house and leave the remaining trash until the next pickup day.
