Description
The Board of Commissioners will vote on the 2026 Township Budget at the public meeting on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. Township Manager Spencer Cadden will give a short presentation on the Township’s financial outlook and infrastructure needs.

Sewer rates will remain the same for 2026, with no increase to the Sewer Fund.

The proposed budget includes a 0.58-mill General Fund adjustment (about $58 per year for a $100,000 assessed home). This adjustment helps address long-standing issues highlighted in the 2026 budget presentation, including:

Aging roads—the Township currently paves far less than what is needed to keep up with its 20-year cycle.

Alleyway deterioration—these areas receive no state aid and need cost-effective preservation work.

Major equipment nearing end-of-life, leading to more breakdowns and higher repair costs.

Ongoing sewer and stormwater needs, including mapping, inspections, and long-term capital planning.

Without this modest millage increase, the Township would continue to fall behind on core services and face larger costs later.
