Starting next week, on November 24th (weather permitting), CDM Smith canvassers will be going door-to-door to request permission to inspect water service lines at properties where the material is currently unknown.
In accordance with federal and state requirements, PA American Water is creating a full inventory of all service line materials on both the utility and customer sides. CDM Smith has been selected as the program’s qualified contractor to complete these inspections.

• Canvassers will visit homes to perform brief in-home inspections.
• These inspections help identify any potential lead service lines.
• All staff will carry proper identification and follow safety protocols.
