Lake Effect Snow Warning issued November 10 at 12:57PM EST until November 11 at 1:00PM EST by NWS Cleveland OH
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations
between 5 and 8 inches. Isolated higher amounts up to 10 inches
possible. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Crawford and Southern Erie Counties.
* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4
mile due to falling and blowing snow. The strong winds and weight
of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause
sporadic power outages. Travel could be difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning
commutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest and most persistent snow is
expected late this evening into Tuesday morning. Snowfall rates
within the strongest bands may reach up to 2 inches per hour.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania
Turnpike Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all travel

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can
also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.
