Lake Effect Snow Warning issued November 10 at 1:08AM EST until November 11 at 1:00PM EST by NWS Cleveland OH
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow occurring. Additional snow
accumulations of 5 to 8 inches.
* WHERE...Southern Erie and Crawford counties.
* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4
mile due to falling and blowing snow. The strong winds and weight
of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause
sporadic power outages. Travel could be difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Localized tree damage and power outages are
possible due to the combined weight of wet snow accumulations
and leaves remaining on the trees. Snowfall rates within the
strongest bands may reach 1 to 2 inches per hour.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania
Turnpike Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all
