Description
Because of current and future development on Lancaster Hutchins road, staff members and the City council believe that it is in the best interest of safety to move forward with the recommendations of the traffic impact analysis by lowering the speed limit from 50 MPH to 45 MPH and making the necessary improvements to move forward with transitioning Lancaster Hutchins at Wintergreen into four-way stop intersection.
The first part of this two-pronged project will be to change the posted speed limit on LHR. The ordinance to reduce the speed limit was unanimously approved by the City Council on Monday, October 20, 2025. To ensure that all citizens receive notice of this effective change the following information is being released to our citizens and the traveling public with an effective date of November 14, 2025.
