Description
Suit Kote will be tar and chipping roads throughout the township, beginning September 5, 2025 through September 9, 2025. (weather permitting) September 15-22, 2025, the roads will be swept to clear any residual stones.

Cost-Effective:
Tar and chip is a significantly cheaper option than a full asphalt or concrete driveway, making it an attractive choice for municipalities on a budget.

Durability & Longevity:
The process creates a solid, stable surface with stones firmly embedded in the asphalt, making it resistant to cracking and wear over time.

Enhanced Traction:
The textured, gravelly surface provides superior grip compared to smoother asphalt or concrete, which is beneficial in wet or icy conditions.

Road Preservation:
On public roads, tar and chip seal extends the life of the pavement by sealing cracks and preventing water penetration, which stops the formation of potholes and ultimately saves money.
