I’m sending this email to inform you of what has been going on regarding the mosquito program for the 2025 season. Attached to this email is a document that contains brief information regarding West Nile Virus and Jamestown Canyon Virus activity in York County. There is a map that indicates all-time viral activity in 2025. Any townships and boroughs listed below that are highlighted have tested positive for West Nile Virus, Jamestown Canyon Virus, or both in the last two weeks. The second page talks about, what we do as a program to survey the county for mosquitoes, mosquito/virus prevention information, and educational events that we will be a part of. The third and final page has my contact information as well as visual examples of the traps and dippers we use out on the field. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
