Public Reminder: Street Dumpsters Require a Permit

Tarentum Borough would like to remind residents and contractors that a permit is required if you plan to place a dumpster on any public street.
Dumpsters on the roadway:
-Take up valuable parking spaces
-Can obstruct traffic flow
-May interfere with emergency vehicle access
Permits allow the Borough to review the placement, ensure safe traffic and emergency access, and notify emergency services if alternate routes are needed.
To avoid delays or enforcement action, please contact the Borough before placing a dumpster on the street.
