The Police Department has received reports and confirmed physical evidence of caltrops being thrown on the streets in Brackenridge, specifically in the area around 1st Avenue and Brackenridge Avenue.
Caltrops are dangerous, spiked metal objects designed to puncture vehicle tires and cause damage. When thrown onto roadways, they pose a serious risk to drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians, potentially leading to flat tires, accidents, or injuries.
