Extreme Heat Watch issued July 28 at 6:53PM EDT until July 29 at 4:00PM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL

* WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 107. For the
Extreme Heat Watch, dangerously hot conditions with heat index
values up to 113 possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Big Bend and Panhandle Florida and south
central and southwest Georgia.

* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until 8 PM EDT /7 PM CDT/ this
evening. For the Extreme Heat Watch, from Tuesday morning through
Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly for those
working or participating in outdoor activities. Hot temperatures
and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sunshine, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles
under any circumstances. This is especially true during warm or hot
weather when car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter
of minutes.

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening.Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible.
