Description
Good Morning, Bayou Vista!
As you know, we are in the beginning of storm season. This is a friendly reminder that THIS IS THE TIME to take a few minutes to REMOVE all unused construction or landscaping items that may be currently sitting outside your home patiently waiting for that project you just simply have not had time to address. Or may be that old bar-b-que is on its "last legs" and needs to be placed at the curb?
All unused chemicals, paint, tires, batteries, etc., lurking in your garage, also need your attention. THIS IS THE TIME to dispose of these items.
A storm surge can cause all of these items to be powerfully carried into our canals, streets and onto other's property causing an enormous amount of damage.
THIS IS THE TIME to do some "housekeeping" and eliminate additional stress when you and your family are preparing for an incoming storm.
For information on emergency preparedness - please visit our website at www.bayouvista.us. The guide will assist you when the need arises. The Emergency Preparedness guide is located under the City Hall tab. Copies are also available at City Hall.
Thank you.
Mayor Eshelman
