Flash Flood Warning issued June 26 at 8:10PM EDT until June 26 at 10:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
West Central Allegheny County in southwestern Pennsylvania...

* Until 1000 PM EDT.

* At 810 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported ongoing flooding due
to prior heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already
occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Pittsburgh, Moon Township, Scott Township, Robinson Township,
Carnegie, Kennedy Township, Stowe Township, McKees Rocks, Crafton,
Coraopolis, Green Tree, Ingram, Imperial, McDonald,
Sturgeon-Noblestown, Oakdale, Heidelberg, Thornburg, Rosslyn Farms
and North Fayette Township.

Heavy rain has ended in the warned area, however it will take some
time for flood waters to recede.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
