Description
North Wales Borough is looking for High School students, who reside in the Borough and are interested in local government and service to their community, to apply for the position of Junior Council Person for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.
JUNIOR COUNCIL MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide current and “next generation” insights to council using strong communication skills (including written, verbal, photography, video and web).
Interest in learning about the process and procedures of local government.
Serve as a constant, positive representative of North Wales Borough and the surrounding community.
Attend monthly Council meetings, budget sessions and other “special” meetings as appropriate.
Participate in related community projects and events.
Observe all Borough Council meeting rules.
JCP CANNOT: Vote or attend “Executive” Sessions.
Completed applications should be emailed to chart@northwalesborough.org or dropped off at Borough Hall by the May 16th, 2025 deadline.
