Description
Glassport has received many complaints of chickens and roosters in the Borough causing disturbances to other residents. Our Ordinance does not allow roosters in the Borough. The same Ordinance only allows up to five chickens if the property is a half an acre or more. There are only a handful of properties in the Borough that are the required size to accommodate owning chickens. Due to the number of complaints the Borough is receiving, our Zoning Officer will be issuing letters, notifying you that you are in violation of the Ordinance. If you do not comply with the violation notice, you will be cited.
