Description
On Saturday, Borough staff finalized the following DCNR Grant application to rehabilitate the playground facilities at Abbottstown Rec Park. This project will replace the old playground with areas for various ages and abilities while offering accessibility accommodations. We are grateful to our community partners and volunteers who are helping to improve our 9-acre park for family enjoyment for generations to come.
Staff will begin installing a 9-hole disc golf course later thhis month from an Adams County Commissioners' grant. All these improvements, valued at over $200,000, will only cost $13,000 in General Funds, with the rest coming from grants and donations generated by Borough staff.
We have not raised your real estate taxes in 6 years and we don't plan to raise them while I am Borough Manager. Thank you for the opportunity to serve this community.
