PECO customers can choose their electric or natural gas supplier, which is known as Customer Choice. When evaluating suppliers and offers, it’s important to do your research and educate yourself to make sure you are making the best decision for your situation.
Check and Compare Rates
PECO’s Price to Compare is the current rate for PECO customers and is available online or on your bill. If you’re currently with a competitive energy supplier, you can find their rate on your bill, under the Supply section.
If you are evaluating offers from competitive energy suppliers, review the rate they are offering you against PECO’s Price to Compare. PECO’s Price to Compare changes quarterly, and it is important to continually review rates to ensure you are still comfortable with your supplier choice and the price that you are being charged for energy.
Know What to Ask Suppliers
Will the supplier charge a fixed or variable rate?
Is there an escalation clause in the contract?
How long is the contract term?
Are there any early termination or cancellation fees?
Based on PECO’s current Price to Compare, how much will you save over the term of the contract?
Do they offer renewable energy?
