Flood Watch issued January 30 at 4:08AM EST until February 1 at 1:00PM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA
Rainfall amounts between 0.75-1.25 inches falling on a melting
snowpack could contribute to rises on area rivers. These
rises could disturb areal river ice, creating the potential for ice
jam flooding.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Pennsylvania, including the following areas,
Fayette and Westmoreland counties. In northern West Virginia,
Preston, Tucker and Monongalia counties.
* WHEN...From late tonight through Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Rapid rises on rivers from rain, snow melt, and possible
ice jams could result in localized flooding.
