Description
A planned power outage is scheduled for Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from approximately 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This outage is necessary to perform critical upgrades at the interconnection between West Penn Power's system and Tarentum’s Electric System.
The outage is expected to impact most, if not all, of Ward 1.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding as we complete these necessary improvements to ensure the reliable and efficient transmission of power between our systems. We encourage you to take any needed precautions during this time, such as:
Charging devices and backup batteries in advance.
Planning for the temporary interruption of any electric-powered equipment.
Ensuring any critical appliances or medical equipment have appropriate contingency plans.
We understand that outages can be inconvenient and will make every effort to minimize the duration of this work.
