Crews are currently responding to a water break at East 8th Avenue and Lawton Street. Please be aware that water service in the surrounding area may be temporarily disrupted while repairs are underway.
The extreme cold is adding challenges to our water system. We encourage residents to take steps to prevent frozen pipes during these freezing temperatures. Some helpful tips:
•Allow a slow drip from faucets to keep water moving.
•Open cabinet doors to allow warm air to reach pipes under sinks.
•Ensure areas around water pipes are properly insulated.
