Flood Advisory issued September 22 at 12:36AM EDT until September 22 at 2:45AM EDT by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following
counties, Adams, Cumberland and York.
* WHEN...Until 245 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1236 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hanover, Hampton, Codorus, Lake Meade, Dillsburg, Spring
Grove, New Oxford, East Berlin, York Airport, Abbottstown,
York Springs, Heidlersburg, Hunterstown and Franklintown.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
