Description
Please be aware that we have a tropical depression in the Gulf of Mexico which could be named Tropical Storm Francine.

Below are the high points we have received from Galveston County Office of Emergency Management
-The disturbance still has no closed circulation or defined track but is expected to form into a tropical depression within the next few days
-It is forecasted to make closest approach to the Galveston area late Tuesday night into Wednesday as a category 1
-Heavy rainfall expected Tuesday and Wednesday with a “slight risk level” of localized flooding

Please stay weather aware and monitor your local weather stations.
-Remove any items that may be blown around or float off your property
-We should begin experiencing winds and rain beginning tomorrow afternoon

We will continue to monitor the weather along with the Office of Emergency Management and advise of any changes or updates.
