Description
The PA Department of Environmental Protection's Mosquito-Borne Disease Program will conduct a truck-mounted ultra-low volume (ULV) mosquito control operation in Loyalsock Township and Old Lycoming Township. Residential and recreational areas in these municipalities will be sprayed for adult mosquitoes. The control work will begin late evening on Tuesday, September 3rd.
High populations of adult mosquitoes capable of transmitting WNV have been detected in these areas.
Weather conditions and other unexpected events could delay or cancel this spray operation. If this operation is canceled, it will be rescheduled for Wednesday, September 4th.
