Description
The Borough of Tarentum would like to remind everyone who lives and works within the Borough that our storm sewer inlets, curbs and gutters, drainage ditches, and storm pipes discharge directly and untreated into either Bull Creek or the Allegheny River. Managing stormwater is crucial for our community's health and environment. Here’s what you can do to help:

Keep Drains Clear: Ensure leaves, trash, and debris don’t block storm drains.

Proper Disposal: Never dump waste, chemicals, or oils into storm drains.

Maintain Your Property: Clean gutters and downspouts and direct runoff away from paved surfaces.

Use Permeable Materials: Consider gravel, pavers, or vegetation for driveways and walkways to reduce runoff.

Effective stormwater management prevents flooding, reduces pollution, and protects our waterways. Learn more about your role and find detailed guidelines on our website at https://tarentumboro.com/ms4.
