The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Southern Westmoreland County in southwestern Pennsylvania...
North central Fayette County in southwestern Pennsylvania...

* Until 330 PM EDT.

* At 237 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near New Stanton,
or 8 miles south of Jeannette, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines, resulting in some
power outages.

* Locations impacted include...
Greensburg, Jeannette, Latrobe, Mount Pleasant, Scottdale,
McChesneytown-Loyalhanna, Youngwood, Derry, West Newton, Lawson
Heights, New Stanton, Perryopolis, Ligonier, Calumet-Norvelt,
Everson, Sutersville, Smithton, Madison, Arona, and Youngstown.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 70 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 47 and 57.
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 68 and 89.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for southwestern
Pennsylvania.
