Snow Squall Warning issued March 20 at 4:18PM EDT until March 20 at 5:00PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Snow Squall Warning for...
Carbon County in northeastern Pennsylvania...
Monroe County in northeastern Pennsylvania...

* Until 500 PM EDT.

* At 417 PM EDT, a dangerous snow squall was located near Mcadoo, or
near Hazleton, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds leading to
blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility. Wind gusts
greater than 50 mph could knock down tree limbs and blow
around unsecured objects.

SOURCE...Radar and webcams.

IMPACT...Dangerous and life-threatening travel conditions are
expected to develop rapidly in the warning area.

This includes the following highways...
Northeast Extension between mile markers 73 and 97.
Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 277 and 314.
Interstate 380 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 13.

Locations impacted include...
Lehighton, Mount Pocono, East Stroudsburg, Tobyhanna, Palmerton, Jim
Thorpe, Nesquehoning, Weatherly, Stormville, Werry Lake, Pocono
Pines, Lake Harmony, Skytop, Tannersville, Long Pond, Kresgeville,
Sun Valley, Reeders, Beltzville State Park, and Saylorsburg.

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.
