Snow Squall Warning issued January 14 at 12:24PM EST until January 14 at 1:30PM EST by NWS Mount Holly NJ

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Snow Squall Warning for...
Sussex County in northwestern New Jersey...
Northern Warren County in northwestern New Jersey...
Central Monroe County in northeastern Pennsylvania...

* Until 130 PM EST.

* At 1224 PM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
extending from near Pecks Pond to near McMichael, moving east at 35
mph.

HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds leading to
blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility. Wind gusts
greater than 35 mph.

SOURCE...Radar and webcams.

IMPACT...Dangerous and life-threatening travel conditions are
expected to develop rapidly in the warning area.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 293 and 314.
Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 1.
Interstate 380 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 5.

Locations impacted include...
Newton, Montague, Mount Pocono, Hopatcong, East Stroudsburg,
Blairstown, Franklin, Hamburg, Ogdensburg, Sussex, Branchville,
Andover, High Point, Henryville, Lake Mohawk, Werry Lake, Greendell,
Millbrook, Pocono Raceway, and Delaware Water Gap.

Consider avoiding or delaying travel until the snow squall passes
your location. If you must travel, use extra caution and allow extra
time. Rapid changes in visibility and slick road conditions may lead
to accidents.

Serious injuries and deaths may result from people exiting their
vehicles during a snow squall. Drivers may not be able to see you or
to stop! If stopped on the roadway or involved in an accident,
quickly exit your vehicle move as far away from the roadway as
possible ONLY when it is safe to do so. Do not stand along or near
the roadway, since approaching vehicles may be unable to maintain
control.
