PPL Electric Utilities has taken to prepare for the severe weather forecast to hit our region today into tomorrow.
We have a full team ready to respond across our service territory and we are bringing in additional workers to assist in any restoration efforts that may be necessary. Comprehensive line clearing, combined with extensive smart grid automation and investments in more storm-resistant poles and wires, have all helped to reduce storm-related outages. Even with the best preparation, storms and severe weather can cause damage and result in outages.
We’re prepared to respond to any power outages that may occur due to heavy rain and strong winds in the forecast for Tuesday into Wednesday.
Rain and strong winds are expected across our territory from Tuesday morning into Wednesday evening. We’re ready to respond as safely and quickly as possible to any issues.
