Description
The burn ban enacted last month in York County expires Thursday, Oct. 5, according to York County Board of Commissioners. The ban first went into effect back in September on the 21 in response to "record low stream and...water levels, drier than normal temperatures and low nominal rain fall over recent weeks." The decision to lift the ban came after the Board of Commissioners for York County met with several fire chiefs and discussed current wildfire potential in the area. Burning may resume October 6th. If you plan on doing a controlled burn, you still must notify County Control at 717-854-5571
