Description
The city of Latrobe Police Dept. was dispatched to Latrobe Area Hospital for a report of male being treated for a gun shot wound. Upon arrival, detectives interviewed the victim, who was unwilling / unable to provide details of the shooting. The male was transported to UPMC for treatment via helicopter. Detectives obtained video from LAH and were subsequently able to identify the vehicle and female operator who provided transport to the emergency room. It was determined that the male was transported from an apartment building within city limits to the hospital, but the specific location of the shooting has yet to be determined. It is believed this was a targeted encounter with the victim and there is no existing threat to the community. Anyone with information regarding this this incident is asked to contact Det. Sgt.
