Flood Warning issued July 16 at 10:54AM EDT until July 16 at 11:15AM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.
* WHERE...Portions of northern New Jersey...and Pennsylvania...
including the following counties...in northern New Jersey...
Warren. In Pennsylvania...Monroe and Northampton.
* WHEN...Until 1115 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1051 AM EDT, emergency management reported flooding in
Bangor, Easton, and Forks Township in Northampton County...
Blairstown and Belvidere in Warren County... Flooding is
already occurring. Between 2 and 4.5 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Easton, Forks, East Stroudsburg, Wilson, Washington,
Blairstown, Bangor, Belvidere, Harmony, Oxford, Alpha, and
Hope.
- This includes the following highways...
Interstate 78 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 74 and 76.
Interstate 78 in New Jersey near mile marker 0.
Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 14.
Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 311 and
314.

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most
flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.
