Flash Flood Warning issued July 1 at 5:15PM EDT until July 1 at 7:15PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central Westmoreland County in southwestern Pennsylvania...
South Central Indiana County in west central Pennsylvania...

* Until 715 PM EDT.

* At 515 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Greensburg, Jeannette, Latrobe, Irwin, McChesneytown-Loyalhanna,
Blairsville, Manor, Youngwood, Derry, Lawson Heights, New Stanton,
Black Lick, Calumet-Norvelt, New Florence, New Alexandria, Penn,
Bolivar, Madison, Arona and Youngstown.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
