Tarentum Residents:
Waste Management has completed its initial waste cart rollout. If you did not get a cart and should have, please get in touch with Tarentum Borough at 724-224-1818.
Residents missing carts will have their carts delivered Thursday, June 22nd.
Please note the important information below:
1. Residents who want a smaller can or an extra can notify the Borough of their desire. However, delivery of
extra carts or change-outs will not occur until approximately 30 days from now, as previously published.
a. Change-outs and extra cart delivery will start the week of July 17th.
b. All requests must go through Tarentum Borough. Any requests to Waste Management will be
rerouted to us.
2. WM wants residents to use the carts as soon as they get them but will not enforce the new rules until July
2nd. Meaning residents can still put items outside of the can until July 1st.
a. Please note that July 4th is a Waste Management holiday, and pickup will be delayed by one day.
3. Residents may put a sign on their old cans that say “take” or set the smaller old cans in their new cans for
WM to dispose of. You do not need to wait until bulk pickup for WM to dispose of their old can.
4. Residents’ pickup location will remain the same unless you are otherwise notified.
5. Bulk pickup is now monthly. Bulk items can be disposed of during the second full week of the month.
6. All cans have serial numbers assigned to a corresponding address. Please do not take cans that are not
assigned to you.
