With the holiday season ending, DO NOT PLACE DISCARDED CHRISTMAS TREES IN OR NEAR THE COMMUNITY DUMPSTERS.
Instead, recycle your tree through Allegheny County’s convenient Christmas Tree Recycling Program.
Allegheny County is once again offering its annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program:

Residents may drop off Christmas trees from Monday, December 26, 2022, through Saturday, January 14, 2023, at all nine county parks from 8:00 am until dusk. Pennsbury Village residents can conveniently drop their trees off at Settlers Cabin Park at the wave pool parking lot. All lights, decorations, tinsel and stands must be removed from trees prior to drop-off. Trees will be mulched and used in the county parks.
During the 2021-2022 program, over 2,960 trees were received and recycled, with the resulting mulch used for various purposes throughout the park system’s 12,000+ acres.
