CITY OF LATROBE
AUXILIARY POLICE OFFICER
The City of Latrobe Police Department will begin accepting applications for Part Time Auxiliary Police Officers.
The duties of the Auxiliary Police include School Crossings, assist with crowd control and traffic at emergency scenes, traffic control for special events, and to assist with events and occurrences that City Council may approve from time to time.
School crossing is conducted during the school year, Monday through Friday, 8am to 9am and then again at 3pm to 4pm for a total of 2 hrs per day. School crossing is only done when school is in session.
Candidates must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and pass a background check.
Child clearances will be completed upon offer of employment.
Pay rate:
1. $9.75 hr. until January 1, 2023
2. $12.50 hr. from January 1, 2023, to the end of school in June 2023
3. $15.00 hr. from Beginning of school in 2023
Application package and a list of required documentation may be obtained at the City of Latrobe Municipal Building located at 901 Jefferson Street Latrobe PA 15650 between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm Monday through Friday.
