Temporary road closures and traffic delays will occur on Sunday, September 6, 2026, between 6:00 AM and 1:00 PM for the annual Wyoming Valley Run 10-Mile event.
Drivers should anticipate rolling closures along Wyoming Avenue and plan extra travel time or alternate routes.
Local Wyoming Borough Traffic Impacts:
Wyoming Ave. (Exeter to Wyoming): All lanes closed up to 8th Street; both northbound lanes closed past 8th Street from 7:55 AM – 9:00 AM.
Wyoming Ave. (at Gerrity's): Traffic funneled to the outside northbound lane; inside lane open to northbound traffic from 8:00 AM – 9:20 AM.
Wyoming Ave. (Wyoming to Forty Fort): Outside northbound lane closed from 8:05 AM – 9:40 AM.
Regional Route Overview:
Pittston & West Pittston: S. Main St., Fort Jenkins Bridge, and Wyoming Ave. closed 7:45 AM – 8:40 AM.
Forty Fort & Kingston: Wyoming Ave. & Market St. partial lane closures 8:10 AM – 11:00 AM.
Wilkes-Barre: N. River St., Market St. Bridge, and Public Square impacts 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM.
