The Pennsylvania Commission for the United States Semiquincentennial (America250PA) was established by the legislature and Governor in 2018 to plan, encourage, develop, and coordinate the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, Pennsylvania's integral role in that event, and the impact of its people on the nation's past, present, and future.
Bells Across PA has given artists across the commonwealth the opportunity to decorate a three-foot fiberglass bell to commemorate the upcoming Semiquincentennial. Artists were invited to submit their bell ideas, with a final design chosen by the bell's sponsor. Each bell is a unique, original piece, with at least one bell placed in each of the 67 counties. The program is interactive, encouraging visitors to touch and feel the designs.
Join us for an exciting event as we unveil a bell in Crawford County! We'd like to extend a sincere thank you to the Crawford County Historical Society and the Crawford County Convention and Visitors Bureau for sponsoring this bell. Another thank you to Cruz Dragosavac who designed the bell and to Crawford Tech for donating their time and resources to have the bell sealed.
