Trick-or-Treating will take place on Thursday, October 31st, from 6-8PM in Hellam Township
Here are some tips to help keep your family safe this Halloween:
Safety: Wear light-colored clothing with reflective tape, and make sure your costume is flame-resistant and fits well. Avoid masks, which can obstruct vision, and instead use non-toxic face paint. Also, make sure children wear sturdy shoes and tie hats and scarves securely.
Plan your route: Plan your route around the neighborhood ahead of time.
Accompany children: Always accompany young children, and tell older children to stay in a group and communicate with you.
Inspect candy: Avoid homemade treats, and inspect all candy before eating it.
Only go to well-lit homes: Don't enter any homes or cars for treats.
Bring a flashlight or glow stick: Glow sticks are fun and help kids stay safe.
