Saturday, May 10 will be the tree planting event for the new Home Plate Orchard at Hamilton Park, Hamilton Avenue in Turtle Creek. Planting hours are 9:30am - 1:30pm.
The orchard will replace the Home Plate Garden with the planting of 42 fruit trees and plants.
Volunteers are needed to help with placing trees in pre-dug holes, stabilizing the planted trees, and mulching.
This is a great learning opportunity, family friendly, and a light picnic lunch will be served at the conclusion of the event. We hope to see you there!
