Adults are invited to join the Library for a special Munch & Learn session on Cinco de Mayo with South Park Library's very own Teen Librarian! As a proud Mexican American and historian, Maddie Canales will guide you through an insightful journey exploring the origins, significance, and modern-day celebrations of this vibrant holiday.
Discover the true history behind Cinco de Mayo and learn how the Battle of Puebla became a symbol of Mexican resilience and patriotism. We will also delve into the cultural traditions that make this day a joyous celebration in both Mexico and the United States. Together, we'll explore the evolution of Cinco de Mayo festivities and highlight the importance of cultural appreciation.
This program will take place in the Township Community Center.
