Join us for the SYC Pickleball Tournament, a thrilling double elimination pickleball tournament! Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this exciting competition promises intense matches and great camaraderie. Plus, every player receives a free t-shirt with their registration! Don't miss out on the fun — sign up now and battle for the top spot in the ultimate pickleball showdown! Players may choose their own partners or opt to be randomly assigned. Teams are mixed doubles. Players must be registered by March 6th in order to receive a shirt.
To keep play fun and fair, please register for the play level that you feel best matches your ability. Participants do not need to be professionally rated.

Beginner Player (2.0–2.9 Rating)
A beginner player is still learning the rules, scoring, and basic techniques of pickleball. They struggle with consistency in serves, returns, and volleys and often lack intentional shot placement. Strategy and court positioning are minimal, and rallies are typically short due to unforced errors. Beginners focus on improving their fundamentals, such as keeping the ball in play and understanding the flow of the game.
Intermediate Player (3.0–3.49 Rating)
An intermediate player demonstrates more consistent serves, returns, and rallies, with a growing ability to control shot placement. They understand basic strategies, such as transitioning to the non-volley zone and targeting opponents’ weaknesses. Intermediate players use a variety of shots like dinks and drives, communicate effectively with their partner, and make fewer unforced errors, though they may still struggle with advanced techniques and precision.
