Join the Big Sewickley Creek Watershed Association and local environmental organizations on Saturday, October 26, for a FREE festival highlighting some of the amazing creatures that live in the Big Sewickley Creek Watershed! The festival will be held from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Big Sewickley Creek Fire Hall, located at 1850 Big Sewickley Creek Road, Sewickley, PA 15143 (in Bell Acres).
At 12:00 p.m., an educator from the Stormy Oaks Nature Conservancy will speak. At 2:00p.m., April Claus from Interactive Environmental Programs will also show off some live critters and speak about salamanders, snakes, frogs, and other creatures of the creek. Between speakers, you can visit with folks from local environmental organizations working to protect and improve the watershed. Hot dogs, popcorn, and other snacks will be available to purchase from the Bell Acres Ladies Auxiliary, and kids of all ages can enjoy rock painting.
