In case of rain the event will be moved the Community Center at 140 Bradford Ave.
On Monday, May 27th, 2023, the annual Memorial Day ceremony will be held at the Crafton Borough Building at 12pm noon. Each year, since 2005, we have honored those that died while serving. Seven WWII Veterans performed exhaustive research to make sure that no one was forgotten. After the flag is raised by Boy Scout Troops 147 and 148, there is a blessing, a few brief comments by the American Legion and Crafton Memorial Committee and then we read the names of the 103 young men and women that did not return home. The laying of the wreath and taps is performed to end the ceremony. Our community has suffered greatly in the cause of Freedom. The entire event takes but 20 minutes or so. If you are available that day, please join us. We are the home of the free, because of the brave. We will never forget them.
