After a somewhat of a mild winter season, there are plenty of stones on the streets to be swept up. This is for cleanliness but also the safety of motorists, especially motorcycles.
This process takes about 2 weeks depending on weather conditions. The first week is concentrated on the alleys, done by the Borough Maintenace crew. The second week is concentrated on the main roads, which is sub-contracted out. The main roads are broken down in quadrants. NE, NW, SW, SE. Each done a different day of the week, but in this order.
Please notice the 'NO PARKING' signs placed around town showing you which area of town is to be done next, and when not to park there. Violators will be ticketed and towed so we can clean the entire street.
The second week will concentrate of different areas of town, so be on the look-out for more notifications and "no parking" signs.
