Budget Hearing Notice 2024
TAKE NOTICE that Borough Council, at its regular meeting on Monday, November 13, 2023, in the council chambers of the Municipal Building, 124 Meadville Street, Edinboro, PA 16412, will hold a hearing at 6:15 PM on the 2024 budget. Council will consider and act upon the 2024 budget at its regular meeting that follows at 6:30 PM.
Edinboro’s 2024 budget proposal includes no changes from the 2023 water and sewer utility rates, but a rate increase will be needed for refuse/recycling collection due to the increased costs associated with the trash hauler contract. The 2024 real estate tax rate will have no change from 2023 at 4.5 mills. Full-time Edinboro residents will remain eligible for the $50,000 Homestead Exemption that makes the first $50,000 of the value of their house exempt from Borough real estate tax. The Borough portion of the Earned Income Tax and Realty Transfer Tax will both remain unchanged at 1.0%, as will the Local Service Tax at $1 per week worked.
