York County Mosquito Disease Control has scheduled a mosquito adult control event for Manchester on Tuesday August 22, 2023, at 9 p.m., weather permitting.
The York County Mosquito Disease Control Program will be conducting a truck mounted ultra-low volume mosquito adult control event in Manchester Township, York County.
Residential and recreational areas in this township will be sprayed for adult mosquitoes. The control work will begin just after dusk on Tuesday, Aug. 22nd, 2023.
High populations of adult mosquitoes capable of transmitting West Nile Virus have been detected in the area. Pending West Nile Virus test results may cancel this control event.
The truck mounted ULV control will be conducted by the York County Mosquito Disease Control Program. I will be on-site for the application. The business license for York County is BU8376. The product used will be AquaDUET applied at a rate of 0.75 oz./acre. This product is designed to provide quick knockdown and effective control of adult mosquitoes.
Weather conditions and other unexpected events could delay or cancel this event. If cancelled, it will be rescheduled for Tuesday August 29th 2023.
