Don't you love Forest Hills Parks? They are so beautiful and provide safe walking, areas for activities and sports and getting close to nature at its finest.

Last summer we started an eradication program for Japanese Knotweed that uses no chemicals and is safe around streams and waterways. We have made tremendous progress. Our efforts have shown a reduced size and number of the knotweed canes that are overrunning the Main park. Native plants are beginning to reclaim this area providing food for bees, birds and butterflies. We can show you how to identify and rid this invasive plant from your property as well. But we need your help!!

Please come and volunteer some time. Gloves, garden snippers and loppers will be provided on a limited basis but please bring your own if you have them. It is work but fun when shared with a group of neighbors and friends. If you have any questions, please email me. Barbara Martin, Council Member at martin@foresthillspa.com.
