FALL LEAF / YARD WASTE COLLECTION

South Park Township has contracted with Waste Management for the collection and
processing of leaf/yard waste on the following dates:

• Saturday, October 22, 2022
• Saturday, November 5, 2022
• Saturday, November 12, 2022
• Saturday, November 19, 2022
• Saturday, December 3, 2022

Leaf / Yard Waste Collection Requirements:
1. Leaves are to be placed curbside after 6:00 p.m. the evening prior to collection.

2. Leaf collection is limited to leaves, hedge clippings, and limbs and branches not
exceeding three (3) inches in diameter, and only if tied in bundles not exceeding
forty-eight (48) inches in length.

3. Leaf waste must be placed in biodegradable paper bags for collection because the
bags are taken to a separate facility at the landfill and shredded in their entirety.
As a convenience to our residents, South Park Township is selling leaf collection
bags in the Tax/Sewage Office located in the Administration Building. The cost is
$1.00 per bag, or five bags for $4.00. Leaf collection bags are also available at
local discount and grocery stores.

Leaves placed in plastic bags will not be collected during the Leaf/Yard Waste
Collection Events.
