NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YANKEETOWN
STATE REVOLVING FUND LOAN ACCEPTANCE MEETING NOTICE
November 10, 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Yankeetown, Florida, will hold a Special Public Meeting on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, after 6:00 PM at the Town Hall located at, 6241 Harmony Ln, Yankeetown, Florida 34498.
The purpose of this Special Meeting is to discuss, consider, and take action upon the following item(s):
1. Project Title: Water Main Rehabilitation Project – The Town is applying for a Florida Drinking Water State revolving fund loan for planning, design and construction to rebuild its aging water mains.
2. SRF Loan Amount: $13,400,000 with anticipated Principal Forgiveness at an approximate interest rate of 2.25% and a repayment period of 20 years.
3. Resolution 2026-08: Consideration and adoption of Resolution 2026-08, authorizing the submission of the SRF RFI application and designating authorized representatives to sign all required application documents on behalf of the Town.
4. Discussions at the meeting will include anticipated impact to current user rates and fees, short-term and long-term benefits of the project and any potential environmental impacts regarding the SRF loan and the project.
Interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed matters. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Town Council with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, they will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, they may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (F.S. 286.0105).
