PA Turnpike to Host Move Over Day Event at Hickory Run Plaza
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will host a National Move Over Day event Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hickory Run Service Plaza, located at milepost 86.1 northbound and southbound on Interstate 476.
The event will remind drivers to move over or slow down when approaching emergency responders, roadside workers or disabled vehicles. Attendees can meet roadway and public safety professionals, view safety vehicles and equipment, take the Go Orange pledge and participate in family-friendly activities and giveaways.
Admission to the event is free, and registration is not required. Motorists traveling through the area are encouraged to stop and learn how following Pennsylvania’s Move Over Law can help save lives.
